First and foremost we are looking to provide good family-friendly fun for all ages to enjoy. We want the event to be admission free to the public so anyone who wants to come can attend. We would like the event to be recreational and educational. We will have a Tractor Show, Demonstrations, Farmer's Market, Vendors Area, Kid's Games & Crafts, College Zone, and Live Music.
As you may already know, Davie Farm Fest is completely funded through donations from local businesses through various sponsorships. Once all of the innerworkings of the event have been paid off at the end of the year, Davie Farm Fest chooses an organization to give the remaining funds from the tractor show & pull to and starts the new year with a near $0 balance. This year, Davie County FFA has been chosen as the recipient of the remaining funds. Since the event is free to the public, we ask those who are able to make a small contribution to a DFF staff or FFA official to pair with the funds above. Thank you!
Agriculture is a significant part of American history, and nothing is more symbolic of farming than a tractor. You will see all types of tractors from 1996 & older. You will get a glimpse of what farming was like back in the day.
